Came to Living Jiu Jitsu 18 months ago, super nervous, with no sports background and no idea what to expect. 4 months into my training here, I participated in my first competition and won 2nd place. Never would've imagined I could accomplish something like that before starting at LJJ. This gym has given me so much more than just a place to train. Sooooo thankful to Domi and all my training partners here. Domi's really cultivated an incredibly welcoming and encouraging environment for beginners and experienced practitioners alike. Instruction is always clear (in German and English), well thought out, and obviously stems from a deep knowledge base. He takes the time to understand each person's strengths and weaknesses and offers personalized guidance to accelerate progress and meet individual goals. Also seems that Domi's nature is contagious because everyone in the gym is super supportive and willing to share knowledge and learn together. Sportsmanship all around. Also must mention, for any women looking into martial arts, but feeling hesitant for fear of an unsafe training environment: Living Jiu Jitsu is 1000% the place to train. Safe, clean, respectful. People absolutely look out for one another here and boundaries are respected. I've recommended this gym to every one of my female friends and will definitely continue to do so. 🙂

A real gem in Augsburg! Packed with great people and atmosphere! Dominik is a phenomenal coach and puts a lot of thought in his workouts. It doesn't matter if you are a German or not you will be welcomed with open arms. Dominik is also fluent in English so if you are from outside of Germany you will still get a great workout. I Definitely recommend this place if you are interested in starting to do martial arts or even if you already are a experienced practitioner!

Ha, yes 100th review! This place is absolute fire and deserves the 5 star reviews you’re seeing here. The trainers, especially Domi, are extremely good. There are some extremely talented people there. To top it all off, the atmosphere is friendly and respectful. Also one of the most international places ive seen in Augsburg

I was passing through Augsburg and one of my coaches in Nürnberg had recommended Living Jiu Jitsu. I wrote to ask about their drop in policy and got a quick response from Dominik to come in for their open mat. First off, the environment is very welcoming. Dominik greeted me straight away and everyone in the gym was friendly. The rolls were good and I got the feeing that everyone there is looking out for one another including me as a guest. I speak German, but all those I spoke with seem to have a great competence of English so communication was not an issue at all. The space is nice and open. They also have a section for weights and kettlebells. In addition to being a technically sound bunch I could see and feel that everyone on the mat was strong and in competition shape. The day I was there everyone was doing nogi and I got valuable feedback from every roll. The gym is clean and it just feels nice to be in there. In between rounds you have a great view of all the rolls going on and is simply a great place to be. I will definitely come back when I’m in Augsburg again.
